About Peggy McClure

Artist and photographer Peggy McClure examines the space between the built and natural environments, constructed objects or artifacts imposed on nature, and nature taking back with weather and overgrowth.

She integrates various media in her art, including acrylic paint, oil stick, dry pigment, pieces of her photographs, sometimes found text and repurposed objects. Her digital collages blend layers of her paintings and photographs.

Originally from Pennsylvania, McClure moved to Boston to attend Massachusetts College of Art and Design and remained in the area. Her work has been shown in Pennsylvania and numerous exhibits and galleries in Massachusetts; her collaborations with a Haiku poet have been shown in Japan. She currently splits her time between Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
